Pakistan Students to Get 2 Public Holidays in the Last Week of December

Pakistan is set to observe two public holidays in the final week of December 2025, following the federal schedule issued earlier this year. The Cabinet Division has reconfirmed the planned break as part of the countrywide holiday calendar.

The official announcement states that 25 December will be a public holiday across Pakistan to mark Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary, along with Christmas celebrations.

All government offices, schools, and most private institutions will remain closed.

An additional holiday on 26 December has also been approved, reserved exclusively for the Christian community. This day allows Christian families nationwide to continue their religious and cultural festivities without work-related interruptions.

These holidays together will provide a brief year-end pause as the country prepares to transition into 2026, with routine schedules resuming immediately afterward.
